When I saw this lovely high-key orchid bowl from Pixabay, I knew it would be a great start for a compositing challenge. Little did I know. Getting the background from behind clear glass isn’t easy. I tried a method one of the other PFCC members found on YouTube. It was a lengthy process and I’m not sure I’d try it again, but after some modifications, it worked out okay.
I’ve replaced the original background with a texture from AdobePaperTexturePro and three Artella album pages from StudioLogic. (Their webpage is temporarily unavailable at the moment, so I’m not including a link.)
The cat lady part of a composite I made some time ago. As you know, spherical glass with water in it will magnified, so I enlarged and warped one dose of the cat face. Now that I look at it, maybe the face to to enlarged . . . The cat is from Adobe Stock but the eyes, nose and mouth are mine, from a selfie. The glasses were from a starter image that Helen provided. The goldfish is from PixelSquid.
